Amelie Kondxot, 48, born in Brazzaville in Congo, moved to Lyon in France along with her twin and 10 siblings when she was just six. An arts major, she started out restoring old paintings and artefacts. But now her passion is collecting vintage clothing, her favourite being kimonos from the 1920s. She loves the ease and grace that a kimono symbolises in a rapidly changing world. Amelie has been coming to India regularly for the past 15 years and works with a team of Indian artisans and tailors as a designer with a unique visual style
