Morning Walk

A fair plot but the problem with the film is entirely to do with the performances
DIRECTOR Arup Dutta | CAST Anupam Kher, Rajat Kapoor, Divya Dutta

Anupam Kher has been playing the tormented old man since he was a young man in 1984. From the old man who wants his son’s ashes back, to the man who thinks he has killed Gandhi to the professor on his morning walk, he has been there, done that. The odd thing is that he is going steadily downhill in his geriatric skills. In Morning Walk, he plays a man who discovers that the daughter of his old flame, Sharmila Tagore, belongs to his good self. Or bad self, because he has to explain to his son and daughter-in-law the amorous youth he once was. A fair plot. The problem with the film is entirely to do with the performances. The odd bad actor is acceptable. But rarely does one come across an ensemble of disaster. Frankly, a terrible film by Arup Dutta, well nigh unwatchable.
