The Psyko offers a surround-sound audio environment in a headphone, till now available only with 5.1 theatre systems
Till now, a flat-response Tannoy was probably the best headphone you could hope to get, but that too is only a 2-channel dinosaur. The Psyko (word derived from psychoacoustics, the study of perception of sound) offers a surround-sound audio environment in a headphone. Until now, this feature was available only with 5.1 channel theatre systems.
Psyko can do this because its speakers are placed not only in the ear piece, but in the headband as well. The sound is then carried to the ears via hollow tubes. Plus, the speakers are not placed bang outside the ear canal. They are at the rims of the ear piece, so the ear picks up the sounds as it is supposed to. The ear pieces are vented, and you can wear them for hours without sweating.
