It will do what your computer can. And it beats lugging a hard disc or laptop to office

The Fit-PC2 is a tiny PC based on Intel’s Atom Z530 processor and US15W chipset. It has enough computing power to run Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, say its creators CompuLab of Israel. And because it uses only 6 watts of power, it does not need a cooling fan, so it is as quiet as anything can be. Its size is so small, you can fit it into a large pocket.

Though its base price is $245, expect to pay around $400 when all the add-ons (which include a hard disc) are notched up. You can’t play extreme games on it, but as an office desktop, home entertainment PC, or a classroom computer it works just fine. It is pretty much shock proof, so you could use it in a car as well. However, it is not portable. The screen and keyboard are not part of the deal and you will need them to make any use of this PC.

Regardless of this limitation, its specs are impressive. Its 115 x 101 x 27 mm dimensions hold 1GB DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard disc. The high-end version comes with a Gigabit Ethernet port and 802.11g Wi-Fi connectivity. And for all the peripherals you will have to add, there are six USB ports as well. While it doesn’t have Bluetooth, it does have infra-red connectivity.
