Those hardest hit by climate change will be species who, unlike humans, don’t drive, fly or cruise.
Those hardest hit by climate change will be species who, unlike humans, don’t drive, fly or cruise. The eucalyptus tree-hugging koala bear, the emperor penguin and the underwater clownfish who flit between coral reefs are among ten of the flagship species who’ll be affected by climate change, says a new declaration by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. As the Arctic tundra is disappearing, so is the Arctic fox. Besides, reduced oxygen in water is making it harder for salmon to breed, while drought stress is killing quiver trees in the Namib desert. Thought you never saw or cared about the antics of a clownfish? Watch Finding Nemo this Christmas.
