As Professionals from Management and finance background along with a vast life experience, we decided to start AKIO -AK INSTITUTE OF OPHTHALMOLOGY, in 2021.

(AKIO), interestingly AKIO means Vision in Japanese,AK Institute of Ophthalmology (AKIO) is a leading eye centre in the country rendering diverse eye super-specialty services under one roof with state of the art facility with the latest technology for eye surgeries.Any patient walking -in, should go back satisfied with the treatment and the friendly experience with our staff at this Facility. Being a patient centric eye hospital, AKIO strives to offer the perfect blend of peace of mind, comfort and the best of eye care to its patients. Serving patients with utmost compassion and care, AKIO is backed by the latest diagnostic equipment and cutting-edge technology to render world-class eye treatment to the increasing number of patients. Happy faces of our patients is the greatest reward that we strive for and with this in mind our Vision and Mission statements are as follows: Vision Statement: AKIO is committed to give our patients a better quality of life by expert diagnosis and skilful treatment of all eye diseases and ailments. Mission Statement: To continuously manage, change and upgrade patient experience through quality process, latest technology, diagnosis and treatment.

With 41 year experience of Dr Atul Kumar (Padma Shree 2007; and BC Roy Awardee) and Dedication of DR. Aman Kumar ( Gold Medallist)in field of RETINA AND PHACO along with other Young and dynamic Faculty and Staff to deal with Ophthalmic Ailments, AKIO is a shining start in its field.

Our inspiration came from divinity – first step to revolutionary approach to service. AKIO could be achieved due to a very clear vision & thought process. It was sheer passion & hard work which helped us achieve our dream. From incorporating a new health care company to getting the building ready with latest technology & qualified staff – in just a record time of 7 months.

AKIOWe plan to make AKIO the first green hospital in the country by reducing the carbon footprints and conserving environment by taking necessary actions.

These 7 months were a whirlwind where we only visualised AKIO. During this course of time, every day was a new learning & evolving experience. The patient has multiple options of choosing, so the biggest challenge was to create a hospital with a difference from the rest. With innumerable eye hospitals and doctors available for patients, there is a vast competition to provide the best care, treatment at the most competitive prices. AKIO is organisation built on hope, possibilities, purpose, deep insights & transformational, measurable impact.

In the next 5 years, I wish AKIO becomes synonymous to most trusted and reliable diagnosis and treatment for any kind of eye diseases , where we can do path breaking treatments with innovative technology. As per the recorded statistics around 50 crore of Indian population need some kind of vision correction, whereas only about 35 crore population has a reach to some form of vision correction. Our plan is to create awareness and educate the population to avail the opportunity of good eyecare. During covid – 19 a large population has adopted to work digitally, children being the most vulnerable section of society are being exposed exponentially to the usage comof screens. This has led to early age eye problems and need of good eye care facilities. We wish to create sustainable employment for all our employees.

We have been bestowed by numerous awards. Awards and accolades give us more strength and motivation to continue our work.

We maintain a delicate balance by constantly giving back to the society, under our AKAK CLEAR VIEW FOUNDATION by reaching out to the not so fortunate people of society by constantly organizing eye-care awareness camps, low cost surgeries and treatment along with specs distribution. All donation are excepted under 80G and 12A.

This women’s day we reach out to every one specially women to help, support each other in every endeavour.
