This is not what the police recruits had expected when they entered Yelahanka Armed Police Training School. “Even in my wildest dreams, I never thought dancing would be taught during police training,” says Kumar, a recruit. “It’s a stress buster,” defends an APTS instructor, “ They will be physically fit.’’ Though initially aghast at the idea, it gained currency after dance teacher Daniel offered to train a batch for a week. And now, he’s been invited to teach recruits in a Belgaum school.
