HUBLOT: BIG BANG UNICO SAPPHIRE ALL BLACK

By its nature, black absorbs all visible radiation and does not reflect any light. In this original interpretation of the “All Black” concept, Hublot is once again playing with received ideas. The Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black is both transparent and completely robed in black. What is more, it does not absorb light. In fact, it lets light pass through. It embodies the dichotomy of the visible and invisible, the seen and the unseen.

Hublot was the first luxury brand to invest in football back in 2008. The brand was the “Official Timekeeper” for UEFA EURO 2008. Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and the watches division for LVMH, was the man behind Hublot’s entry into the world of football.In 2015, Hublot became the official timekeeping partner for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. It was also the timekeeper for UEFA Europa League 2016.

OMEGA: THE MASTER CHRONOMETER COLLECTION

One of the biggest highlights for the brand in 2016 is the roll-out of six new Master Chronometer movements. These new calibres follow on the heels of last year’s Globemaster break-through, and signal the next step in the Master Chronometer revolution.

Firstly, there is a new Annual Calendar movement for the Globemaster. The watch itself is particularly notable for its unique placement of the months on each facet of the Pie Pan dial. There are also the first Master Chronometer Chronograph movements. One is a new Planet Ocean Chronograph, and the other is the Speedmaster Moonphase. For ladies, there is a new Master Chronometer movement for the Planet Ocean 600M, and another Master Chronometer movement with a small seconds feature for the ladies’ Constellation. The sixth Master Chronometer movement is a GMT addition that has been used for the new Planet Ocean 600M model with its black and white ceramic bezel.

GRAHAM: CHRONOFIGHTER OVERSIZE NAVY SEAL

The Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation limited edition watch is specifically designed with the highly specialized Navy SEAL operators in mind: this tough, understated timepiece is operational in the same climatic extremes that they endure. Whether faced with scorching deserts, freezing Arctic landscapes, or hot and humid jungles, this GRAHAM timepiece has been tested and proven to endure.

The dial of the Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation, which sports a subdued Navy SEAL Foundation logo, also features a highly technical digital camouflage pattern, making it virtually undetectable! The only hint of color on this stealthy timepiece is visible on the case back, which features a United States flag waving majestically.

BREITLING: AVENGER HURRICANE

The Avenger Hurricane flaunts a standout 50 mm diameter. It has an ultra-sturdy and ultra-light case made in a futuristic material named Breitlight®. It surprises with its Manufacture Breitling movement equipped with a 24-hour military-type display. With the Avenger Hurricane, Breitling is launching a new chronograph that pushes all existing boundaries in terms of instruments for professionals. Extreme power, with a 50 mm XXL diameter, a sturdy construction equipped with lateral protective reinforcements, and an all-black look enhanced by yellow accents and aviation-inspired stencil-type numerals.

LONGINES: LA GRANDE CLASSIQUE DE LONGINES

Like all other models of the collection La Grande Classique de Longines, the charm of the new variations resides mainly in their very slim steel case: barely 4.20 mm and 4.45 mm for these quartz-movement watches. Available in two sizes – 24.00 and 29.00 mm in diameter – these creations display various finely worked mother-of-pearl dials, decorated with a star background offered in pink, blue or white. Diamonds can also enhance the dial’s delicate surface and the case’s gracious lines. Pink, blue or white alligator straps echo the soft colours of the dial and harmoniously complete the set. As for the steel bracelet, it wonderfully molds to the shape of the wrist thanks to the adaptability of its fine links.These new timepieces preserve all of the characteristics of the creations that have made this iconic collection a global success and testify to the time-honoured know-how with which Longines embodies elegance today.
