Anand Arnold is popularly known as India’s first Wheelchair Bodybuilder. Born in 1986 in a one-room house in Ludhiana, Punjab, he started bodybuilding at the age of 13. But at the age of 15, Arnold developed spinal cancer. A portion of his spinal bone was removed and he lost the use of his legs. After three years of recuperation, he restarted his bodybuilding routine and went on to win the ‘Mr India’ title thrice and ‘Mr Punjab’ 11 times. He is also a Gold Medalist in Arm Wrestling and has a basket of 23 other titles awarded at bodybuilding contests.

Allen Woodman’s Weightless: a True Story of Courage and Determination, is a book on his battle against the odds. He currently lives in a rented house in Ludhiana and is looking forward to becoming an actor and also making a movie on his life someday
