Listen up graphic novel fans: now enjoy Untouchable on the touchscreen everyone wants. That’s right: the iPad.
These are exciting times for graphic novel fans. Not only are these works of art becoming increasingly creative with themes, they are also becoming more and more experimental with the design and format. Take Untouchable, for instance, which promises a whole new graphic entertainment experience. This unique supernatural thriller by entertainment company Liquid Comics will soon join the rare breed of comics that are being released digitally on the Apple iPad. “The future of graphic novels is digital and we are thrilled to launched this graphic novel digitally through the Apple iPad in addition to bookstores through our publishing partner, Dynamite Entertainment,” says Sharad Devarajan, co-founder and CEO of Liquid Comics. Earlier this year, one had come across another such graphic novel, Operation Ajax, created by Cognito Comics and gaming experience experts Tall Chair Inc. The two had adapted the novel for the Tall Chair Active Reader—a powerful iPad application that takes the audience beyond a traditional panel-by-panel style of reading.
