Nana Patekar was in a reflective mood during a recent interview
Nana Patekar was in a reflective mood during an interview with journalist Nikhil Wagle at the actor’s farmhouse near Pune. Though clad in youthful clothes—a dark T-shirt and camouflage cargo shorts—Nana said that at 63, his end couldn’t be very far. Roaming around the farm with a long stick in hand, he expressed disappointment with the state of affairs in the country. He said that people won’t put up with chaos for long and at some point there will be “a vanva (forest fire). And then there will be greenery.” At the end of the interview, he stopped near a well. “This is where I come when I have deep thoughts,” Patekar told Wagle. “Someday I will install two cameras here and speak my heart out. I will take names. It will be the naked truth. And I’ll send you the tapes.”
