Comedians have come together as candidates for humorist Jaspal Bhatti’s recently-launched Recession Party in Mumbai.
You’ve seen them monkey around on screen. Now, get set to see them campaign for this election. The country’s best known comedians have come together as candidates for humorist Jaspal Bhatti’s recently-launched Recession Party. “We have brought together veteran actors like Rakesh Bedi, Vivek Shauq, Ehsaan Qureshi, Raja Rancho, Rajesh Puri and Johnnie Lever to contest from six constituencies in Mumbai,” says Bhatti, who is the party’s prime-ministerial candidate. The Recession Party wishes to hold up a mirror to the great Indian political tamasha. We think it’s a Top Show, Jaspal.
