Kerala’s Minister for Industry and Information Technology PK Kunhalikutty has been a constant target of the opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF), but even they couldn’t fault him on this one. He gifted an iPad to all MLAs and it was gladly accepted by all without any murmur. All except one, that is. Former Chief Minister and opposition leader VS Achuthanandan, who has opposed Kunhalikutty on many issues—including a sex racket case—refused the iPad saying that it is not necessary to accept all offered gifts. For good measure, he added that a gift is only something to be exchanged between friends.
